We met some wonderful people today in Malibu at the Path of the Horse film screening.  Times are surely changing for horses and humans.  We'll get some video of Stormy's presentation up as soon as we can but for now, here is part of the message she shared with the audience.

I'm going to paint a picture of a world that my friends and I are creating.  

In the past, horses served us by providing food, transportation, work, recreation, challenge.  Now we're exploring what it means to truly care for these animals without forcing them to perform.  We're exploring deeper communication, service and community by us humans coming together first to heal ourselves in the company of horses, nature, and other humans, and then to use the talents and good fortune we have been given to care for other humans.  

Just like with a horse, when a human is loved and cared for whether or not she can perform, she will lend what strength she has towards passing that love and caring on to another being that needs it.  When humans are healed, all creatures will be cared for.

Those of us who dream of being with horses do so while offering a space for other humans to come join us.  Those who have other dreams may find their path becomes clear in the company of friends who have found a balance between activity and non-doing that leads to the capacity to serve.

When we can lift insensitivity, take the words out of our heads and look through the hearts we were given as children, we hear the voice that tells us what feels right.  It tells us how we can help our brothers and sisters beside us and bring peace to our world.
